Positive: Remote getaway in the mountains. Host and whole staff could not have been more courteous, really made me felt welcome even though I speak no Chinese. Food served on the property was truly exceptional, still thinking about the breakfast and dinner dishes. Room was spotless and bed super comfortable. Interesting art pieces made by the owner surround the property. Must stay if you visit the area, an unforgettable mountain house.

Negative: Wish I could have stayed longer and shown my friends. Seems like a good place to go with a group.

Positive: Amazing and Lovely staff/family the took such good care of us ! The bedroom had an amazing view. We really felt at home. Thank you!

Negative: Not a criticism but worth mentioning that booking says it is a few kilomètres away from practical logistic points to access Alishan, but in fact it is much further away. So perfect to explore surrounding mountains (stunning) but not alishan.

Positive: It was magical. The owners are super friendly and we had a great time. They gave us great advise for hikes and the food was also great. It felt like a second home. It's in the middle of nature and they have their own tea Plantage.

Positive: This BNB is absolutely beautiful/clean and the hosts were incredible. We stayed here in March and every day we were treated to the sounds of birds chirping and the smells of flowers blooming. To start, the owner picked us up from the train station at Jiaoliping and helped us with our luggage to the BNB. That evening they provided an amazing vegetarian hot-pot for us and then recommended a nearby hike for the following day. The hike was amazing and the tea provided at the BNB after was perfect. Honestly, I can't recommend Walk Cloud enough. If you are traveling through the area, or just looking for a place to stay in central Taiwan, look no further. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.

Positive: Amazing area to explore and an excellent team! Loved the breakfast and dinner set ups too. Take a scooter or car to explore the area otherwise you'll be somewhat stranded. The manager provided some excellent recommendations and directions and we saw so much of the area.

Negative: More information/guidance before arriving (or upon booking) on whats required to (a) get there and (b) transport required to get around the area would be very useful! That said, the boss lent us his scooter which was immense and greatly appreciated!

Positive: We loved our stay at Walking in the Clouds BnB. It is a lovely BnB tucked in the mountains of the Alishan region. It has an incredible view with large, well equipped rooms. The hosts are so welcoming and kind. They are really helpful and generous and made sure we had everything we needed and more for our stay. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional- we particularly loved the hotpot dinner and ice cream freezer!

Negative: It’s a little difficult to find if you are driving there. For foreign travellers, make sure you put the address into Google maps in Chinese characters.

Positive: The view was amazing. The staff and owner of the bnb were very helpful and knowledgeable about the hiking routes. They picked us up from the bus stop and train station close to the bnb. The place was clean and the environ very pleasant. Thank you Mr Xie and Xiao Yang for your hospitality.

Positive: The guest house owner treated us like family. When my mom sprained her ankle on the tea farm behind the guest house, the owner provided the ice pack right away and helped us deal with the issue. He even generously gave us the expensive ointment made in Japan. And thanks for the proper first aid, my mom did feel much better next day. Btw, the mountain road of heading back down was super challenging for me, thus, I ask for the designated driving services. The guest house staff efficiently arranged it for us. For me, the staying experience was comfortable and great.
